As always, don't forget to like the site on Facebook if you haven't already!
The purpose of this list is to pick out the champions that when played, will allow you to climb divisions the fastest by winning more games. This list contains more off-meta and counter-meta placements that do well against popular picks.

Instructions and Caveats:
- Champions in BOLD I will talk about shortly
- Champions UNDERLINEDmay be over/undervalued, but aren't/haven't played enough for me to make a better judgment.
- Within each tier, the champions are strongest from left to right, but within a tier each champion's strength is relatively close. This is especially true for Tiers 2 and 3 where these champions are ALL highly playable and player dependent on how strong they are in-game.
- Win Rates are important in analyzing each champion's strength but are not the end-all criteria for any champion's position.
- Professional Picks may not necessarily translate into good picks for solo queue ladder, the two have slightly different meta-games and skill levels.
- The creator of this list is diamond, so there may be some personal bias towards higher tier play on certain champions.
Champion Explanations
- Galio [Tier 2 Top] - Galio in tier 2 may confuse some people as there's been talk of him being totally overpowered and broken going through the internet. However, he was hotfixed earlier this week. Despite that, players continue banning him ever since their awful experiences against him earlier in the week. In his current hotfixed state, he's really not that scary. Relax.
- Jarvan IV [God Tier Top] - Meanwhile, Jarvan can be absolutely bonkers right now, with his full lethality build dropping a clean 1000 damage on squishies with just his ult....or his E-> Q -> auto. Either way, he snowballs very hard and ends up with the ability to truly delete squishies on sight, punishing them for their impudence.
- Leona [Tier 1 Support] - After the nerfs on Ardent Censer, peel supports remain very strong. However, Leona tends to be an excellent counter to them (outside of any absurd balancing fails). As a result, she's currently pretty decent as all-in supports tend to counter sustain supports when the numbers are stable.
- Miss Fortune [Tier 1 Marksman] - Miss Fortune continues to be quite underrated in the current meta. No matter if you play her with lethality or a more traditional build, her last-hitting is a breeze as a result of her passive, and her ability to shred through enemy teams via her ultimate is game-changing in solo queue.
- Talon [God Tier Top] - Although Talon has trouble against high-sustain tank top laners when they're in the meta, he does extremely well against squishy melee champions who like to duel. As a result, Talon excels against in the current meta as a cheesy snowballing champion.
- Twitch [God Tier Marksman] - Twitch continues to be amazingly annoying not just because of his synergy with Ardent Censer, but also from the pure fact that his ability to solo enemy marksmen whenever they're out of position is immense. While he certainly does amazing with an Ardent support by his side, he does better than most other marksmen without it.
- Udyr [Tier 1 Jungle] - After the new round of buffs on Udyr, he's actually fairly good in jungle in his Tiger stance.
- Urgot [God Tier Top] - Urgod is back as a premier lane bully. There's not much to say besides that he does too much damage, is almost unkillable, and his ultimate is more soul-crushing to die to than Darius ult. Meanwhile, the change on missile speed with his ultimate makes it almost impossible to react in time to dodge at close to medium range (even with flash).
- Wukong [Tier 1 Top] - Wukong top is interesting to me and I'm starting to suspect most players just aren't using him correctly top lane. After picking up Duskblade, if he starts from bush, E->auto->Q->W->auto gets off two Duskblade procs in 2 seconds...this is a bonkers amount of damage if you haven't realized yet, and there's pretty much no champion that can stand up to that sort of burst. Obviously, he'll lose out to someone like Urgot, but he fulfills a similar role to Talon top in that he can assassinate and out-duel any cheesy melee top laners.
- The purpose of this list is for discussion and to provide a starting point for champion selection.
